A roof collapse on Meredith Neck sent three builders to the hospital Friday.

Builders were working on an addition to a building at 131 Powers Road when a part of the building's roof collapsed around 9:30 a.m.

Fire Chief Chuck Palm said three people were transported to Lakes Region General Hospital with injuries received in the collapse.

None of the injuries were life-threatening; one worker suffered a possible broken hip while no other serious injuries were reported.

Palm described the building as "older" and an older portion of the roof collapsed while crews were constructing the addition.
