MOULTONBOROUGH — A first alarm fire over has caused heavy damage to a home.

Crews from Moultonborough, Center Harbor, Meredith, Holderness and Sandwich responded to a first-alarm fire in a single-family home at 68 Heatherwood Drive.

Moultonborough Fire Chief Dave Bengston said extensive damage was done to the second floor of the house with water damage to the basement.

There were no injuries, but the occupants of the house were treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.

The house, listed to William Rooks, is, according to Bengston "unlivable." The Red Cross is helping the occupants find shelter
