ELIOT, Maine — Weightlifter Gwen Sisto is scheduled to participate in the U.S. Olympic Weightlifting Trials this weekend in Atlanta, in an effort to earn an spot on the 2008 Olympic team that will go to Beijing this summer.

Sisto, who trains in her home gym in Eliot, Maine, won the national collegiate championship in 2006. Sisto, 25, is coached by her husband, Ivan Rojas, himself an Olympic weightlifter for his native Bolivia in 1988 and 1992.
