Pro Fab Modular Homes held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its grand opening on Thursday. The sun was shining and the weather cooperated and Pro Fab showed off three model homes and one model office to customers.
Appearing at the ribbon-cutting ceremony and touring the homes were Tilton selectmen Pat Consention and Sandy Plessner as well as Town Clerk Cindy Reinartz. Also on hand were Doug Holmes, executive director of the Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, and chamber ambassadors Elaine Blinn and Joyce Cameron, Debbie Bolduc from Franklin Savings Bank, and Paul Hatch from N.H. Employment Services.
Pro Fab will have an official open house this weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be door prizes and food, and customers will be able to tour all the model homes.
If anyone decides to buy one of the models during the open house, Pro Fab will give them a free stainless steel package, a $3,000 value.
Pro Fab has been open since November, across the street from Rusty's Towing on Laconia Road. Vicki Huston, Pro Fab business development manager, said they have been doing well so far.
Holmes said he is excited to have Pro Fab join the town of Tilton. "I think it's terrific," he said.
He said he and his wife had toured a modular home factory and thought about buying one themselves.
"It's an ideal location," said Cameron.
