Belknap County Nursing Home gets good report card

Thursday, March 4, 2010

LACONIA — Aside from four technical deficiencies, the preliminary report card for the Belknap County Nursing Home is good, Director Courtney Marshall told the Commissioners Wednesday morning.

"We really have made some steady progress," said Commission Chair Christopher Boothby, who said the number of deficiencies has dropped from an all-time high of 42 "during our bad year" to 16 the next year.

He said last year there were nine deficiencies and this year four — none of them major or serious.

Boothby said the good report card is the result of everyone from the administrators to the families of the residents pitching in a doing excellent work.

"Everyone should be commended," he said.
