Fundraiser
LACONIA — The Christ Life Center Community Food Pantry, located at the Lakes Region Vineyard Church in Laconia, will again be taking part in the $1 million fundraiser offered by the Feinstein Foundation of Rhode Island.
For the 13th straight year, Alan Shawn Feinstein will divide $1 million among hunger-fighting agencies nationwide.
Again this year, the CLCC Food Pantry will be looking to this effort to supplement the items we provide. Located at 175 Mechanic St., we service about 180 households a month, providing food and personal items to needy families from the Laconia area. In recent months we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of new households seeking our services.
Now through April 30, all cash and food items donated will count toward our share of the Feinstein $1-million challenge. Food items are valued at $1 per item.
This year we are hoping to increase our share of the $1-million fund by seeking the help of additional area churches, schools and businesses. Anyone wishing to donate to this worthy cause can call Pastor Dick or Martha AuCoin at 527-2662 to arrange for drop off or pick up of items.
