M. Lou Cataldo
CATALDO SANBORNTON — M. Lou (Kimmens) Cataldo, 84, passed away on Dec. 9, 2011, at Wilmington Health Care Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Hudson, Mass., and graduated from Hudson High School.
She was the widow of the late Edward F. Cataldo who died in 1990.
A longtime resident of
Lexington, Mass., and Sanbornton, she moved to Billerica, Mass., in 2008.
Mrs. Cataldo was a registered nurse, having graduated from Waltham
(Mass.) Hospital School of Nursing.
She was director of Nursing at Pine Knoll Nursing Home in Lexington, Mass., the facility she and her husband built in 1965.
In past years, she was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and has been an active member of the Extension Homemakers and now the Circle of Home and Family. She has been an overseer of Old Sturbridge Village for many years.
She is survived by her children, Linda L. McNulty and husband Michael of Tucson, Ariz., Eileen Bitzer of Coral Springs, Fla., John Cataldo and wife Diane of Sanbornton, and Paul Cataldo and husband Bruce Neefe of Billerica, Mass.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She also is survived by her brother, H. Raymond Kimmens of Parrish, Fla.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, Mass., from 4 to 7 p.m. Visiting hours also will be on Monday, Dec. 12, at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau- Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, from 4 to 7 p.m. using the Carriage House entrance. There will be a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main St., Belmont, at noon.
Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Sanbornton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Sturbridge Village, 1 Old Sturbridge Village Rd., Sturbridge MA 01566; or Wilmington Health Care Center, 750 Woburn St., Wilmington MA 01887.
