Barbara Ann Libby

ASHLAND — Barbara Ann (King) Libby, 77, a longtime resident of Ashland, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at Concord Hospital in Concord, following a brief illness.

Barbara was born in Lowell, Mass., on March 2, 1935, the daughter of the late Edward and Leola Pearl (McCauley) King.

She was raised and educated in Billerica, Mass.

She was a member of the Ashland Baptist Church for more than 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her beloved cats. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and baking.

Barbara is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Raymond F. Libby Sr.; her son, Richard G. Denham, and his wife, Josephine Denham, of San Jose, Calif.; her daughter, Karen L. Landry, and her husband, Peter Landry, of Tewksbury, Mass.; her daughter-in-law, Marianne Craddock of Cotuit, Mass.; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; her sister, Mary Frazier of Dudley, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She was predeceased by her son, Douglas G. Denham; her daughter, Debra A. Poirier; and her granddaughter, Tanya H. Driscoll.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 1, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Ashland Baptist Church, 57 Main St. (Route 3) Ashland, with a memorial service to begin at the church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Green Grove Cemetery on Main Street in Ashland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ashland Baptist Church, 57 Main St., Ashland NH 03217; or the NH Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia NH 03247.

Arrangements are under the care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Ashland.
