Arthur A. Desrosiers

FRANKLIN — Arthur A. Desrosiers Jr., 79, of Franklin died at Franklin Regional Hospital on May 20, 2012.

He was born in New Milford, Conn., on April 17, 1933, the son of Arthur and Nell (Ziolkowski) Desrosiers Sr.

Arthur resided in

Franklin since 1962.

During the Korean Conflict, he served in the US

Navy.

Mr. Desrosiers was employed at Polyclad Laminates in Franklin as a welder and maintenance mechanic for many years.

Following retirement, he purchased a summer home in Newfoundland, Canada, and enjoyed many summers fishing the Atlantic Ocean and spending time with family and friends.

He was a member of Franklin Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1698, and the Franklin Lodge of Elks.

Arthur was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Family members include his wife of 56 years, Margaret (Sturge) Desrosiers of Franklin; son Arthur A. Desrosiers III and his wife, Carolyn, of Alexandria; daughter Debbie Taylor and husband Stephen of Hill; stepson Brian Banfield of Newfoundland; grandchildren Adam and Ryan Desrosiers and Benjamin and Mike Jones; great-grandchildren Amara and Reese Desrosiers and Elijah Jones; brother Rodney Desrosiers of Stratford, Conn.; sister Lynda Desrosiers of Shelton, Conn.; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at NH Veterans’ Cemetery, Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, on Wednesday, May 23, at noon.

There are no calling hours.
