CONCORDIA, Kan. — Fred J. Hawkins Sr., son of Fred E. Hawkins and Marion E. (Stehle) Hawkins, who was born July 20, 1939, in Queens, Long Island, N.Y., passed away on Aug. 13, 2012, in Concordia, Kan., at the age of 73 years and 23 days.

Margaret A. Hawkins, daughter of Richard L. Hough and Lena R. (Valley) Hough, who was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Rochester, passed away on Aug. 13, 2012, in Concordia, Kan., at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 24 days.

Fred J. Hawkins Sr. and Margaret A. Hough were united in marriage on July 21, 1958, and to this union five children were born. They were members of St. Edward's Catholic Church, Belleville, Kan. They enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great- grandchildren, gardening and working on genealogy.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, David Alan Hawkins, and one brother, Edward J.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, and one infant son, David Alan Hawkins.

They are both survived by three sons, Fred Hawkins, Jr. and his wife, Doreen, of Meredith, Don Hawkins and his wife, Gail, of Belmont, and James Hawkins of Portsmouth; one daughter, Elaine Reynolds, and her husband, Alan, of Waverly, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and six-great-grandchildren.

Margaret is also survived by six brothers, Christian Hough of Canterbury, Andre Hough of Florida, David Hough of Laconia, Brian Hough of Laconia, Edward Hough of California and Paul Hough of Meredith; two sisters, Mona Mattuzzi of New York and Judy Price of Gilmanton Iron Works; and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held for both Fred and Margaret at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 20, at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Belleville, Kan., conducted by Fr. Barry Brinkman.

Vigil/Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Bachelor-Surber Chapel.

Interment will be made in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kan.
